Pick-up & Delivery
AST Dental Lab provides free daily pick-up and delivery services to all our local clients. in broad areas around our physical location. Please call us today to see if your office is on one of our routes, and to receive instructions on scheduling a pick-up. Clients who we are unable to serve with our in-house delivery can ship cases to us via UPS, FED EX, USPS, or any other carrier of your choice.

AST Dental Lab provides ground shipping services both ways at our expense. If you require a faster turnaround than ground shipping will allow, we will provide 2nd day air for a small fee. We have existing relationships with these four major shipping companies, and we will gladly provide you with all the materials you need to send us your next case. Call our office to request boxes, Rx forms, and labels of your choice. In addition, Rx forms and mailing labels can be printed off of the Homepage, and you can email your request for other materials to info@astdental.com.
Please specify which company you prefer to handle your shipping when making your request for materials. UPS is typically our default ground shipper if another company is not requested.

Shade Taking
Getting an accurate shade is crucial to the esthetic outcome of any restoration. Below are some shade taking tips our ceramists have gathered over the years. We also highly encourage you to send photos along with your cases to our laboratory. With today's technology, it is becoming increasingly simple to take & send a digital photo to our technicians. In many cases, the cameras on today's cellular telephones provide excellent quality photos that can be immediately emailed to the lab.
Our ceramists have a separate email strictly for receiving patient photos, info@astdental.com, and they also use tablets to view the photos right at their benches without printing them. This guards against distortion in color during printing, and it also allows the technicians to zoom in our out as needed.
If you feel a custom shade is necessary to your case, our laboratory includes an on-site operatory for custom shade evaluations for your patients with no extra cost. Simply have your patient contact the laboratory to schedule an appointment anytime during our business hours for a visit with one of our Certified Dental Technicians. At the bottom of the page you will find a sheet you can give your patient that includes our contact information and directions to the laboratory.
